Signature Assignment

Throughout the MA 1100 course, I have learned and memorized many elements and abbreviations in medical terminology. I did quizzes on the elements and abbreviations every week passing with 95% or more. I watched videos that helped me to significantly remember the elements through audionyms. Audionyms are words that sound like some other word or phrase. I did an extra credit project where I picked an element from the familiar elements section in the textbook and created my own audionym for that particular element to help me remember what the element means.

Reflection

I learned and memorized a significant amount of elements and abbreviations in relating to medical terminology in the course and in the extra credit assignment. I utilized memorization and retention skills and creativity in the course and the assignment. This course has helped me greatly in knowing what big medical terms mean and some of these terms have been covered in other courses I have taken which has helped me significantly and I know what the terms mean. I didn't come across with much difficulty in the course since I have pretty good memory, and I know that this course will help me later on when I plan to pursue a career in the medical field.
